About Networking Setup

The networking setup feature is a WHM button within the WHM home screen that gives acces to many options and features like changing your hostname and removing and adding nameserver IP addresses.

Change Hostname

Change hostname is a feature within the Networking Setup button that allows you to change your server’s hostname. Your server’s hostname is the name by which your server will be known throughout the internet.

Nameserver IPs

The Nameserver IPs feature allows you to remove and add nameserver IP addresses. If you set up using the Basic cPanel & WHM Setup then this can be useful to modify the nameserver configuration.

Resolver Configuration

This gives you access to a configuration wizard for editing /etc/resolv.conf file. This file contains the names of the nameserver needed to convert domain names into IP addresses. Here you can setup 2 or 3 resolvers for your server.
