DNS Errors in cPanel

If you receive this error “You must have the zoneedit feature to take this action. You currently only have the simplezoneedit feature.” When trying to add a CNAME using the Simple DNS Zone Editor in cPanel then follow the below.

cPanel DNS Error Solution

The advanced and simple DNS Editors are enabled or disabled in a feature list.

  1. Go to the feature list in Main >> Packages >> Feature Manager
  2. Enable the Advanced DNS Editor for the particular list
  3. Any Changes I make in the DNS editor in WHM or cPanel will appear immediately
