Follow the below steps to generate a Certificate Signing Request for Apache2:

  1. Login to your server’s terminal (SSH)
  2. Type the following command at the prompt:
  • openssl req –new –newkey rsa:2048 –nodes =keyout yourdomain.key –out yourdomain.csr
  1. Enter the information that follows: common name, organization, organization unit, city or locality, state or province, and country.
  2. Open the CSR using a text editor and copy all text.
  3. Paste the entire CSR into the SSL enrollment form in your account
