How to Add A Smarthost Relay to Cpanel

Using your favorite text editor in in your command line environment create /etc/exim.conf.local

Add the following lines to the file.

@[email protected]
smart_route:
driver = manualroute
domains = !+local_domains
transport = dkim_remote_smtp
route_list = * mailout.serverpronto.com

Next run the below command to activate the changes.

/scripts/buildeximconf

Test the configuration be sending an email to an account where you can receive it and review the email headers for the chain of servers that handled the email.
