How to Install a SSL Certificate in Microsoft IIS 8

Follow the below steps to install a SSL Certificate in Microsoft IIS 8:

1. Start up the Server Manager
2. Select Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager from Tools
3. Select the server name that you want to generate the CSR for in the Connections panel on the left
4. Double-click Server Certificates in the middle panel
5. Select Complete Certificate Request… in the Actions panel
6. Select … the locate the .crt file and select Open
7. Name the certificate the name you wish to name it
8. Select Personal then select OK
9. Select the server name you want to install the certificate in the Connections panel on the left
10. Select + to expand Sites, select the site you want to secure with the SSL Certificate
11. Select Bindings… in the Actions panel
12. Select Add…
13. Within the Add Site Binding window: Select https for Type, Select All Unassigned for IP address, Type 443 for Port, Select the SSL certificate you just installed, and them select OK
14. Select Restart in the Actions
