About Account Functions

You can create and manage user accounts within this section of the WHM interface.

Change Site’s IP Address

 This feature allows you to change the IP address of a selected account. This can be used when you want a unique IP address for each reseller or for hosting SSL sites.

Create a New Account

Creating new accounts is essential for web hosting, because it allows you to create new cPanel accounts.

Email All Users

You can email each cPanel user on your server at the same time using this feature.

Force Password Change

This feature allows you to force any of the users on your server to change their password.

Limit Bandwidth Usage

You can change the given bandwidth for an account using this feature.

Account Suspension Management

This feature gives you the ability to suspend or unsuspend an account.

Manage Demo Mode

You can turn any account on your server into a demo account using this feature.

Manage Shell Access

The manage shell access feature allows you to specify which account can access your server remotely through command line interfaces like Terminal or PuTTy.

Modify an Account

You may select and redefine an account’s settings using this feature; if you wanted to change an account’s main domain then you would do it here. 

Password Modification

The passwords of any existing resellers or cPanel accounts can be changed using the password modification feature.

Quota Modification

The quota modification features allows you to change an account’s maximum amount of disk space or quota.

Raw Apache Log Download

You can download raw access logs of the Apache web server’s activities using this feature. A raw access log is a text file that will show every connection that is made to a particular domain.

Raw FTP Log Download

You can download raw access logs of FTP server’s activities using this feature. A raw access log is a text file that will show each connection made to a particular domain’s FTP server, which includes uploaded and downloaded files.

Rearrange an Account

You can choose the hard drive on which a selected account will be stored; this feature is only applicable to a server that contains more than one hard disk.

Reset Account Bandwidth Limit

If you changed the bandwidth limit of an account you may use this feature to reset the account’s quota, which changes it to is previous quota. This option will only be available for accounts whose bandwidth has been changed.

Show Active and Inactive Accounts

An account with a valid Apache configuration file entry is considered by WHM to be active, but an inactive account is one in which its domain and IP data have been removed or corrupted in the Apache configuration file.

Skeleton Directory

The skeleton directory is meant for you to copy the same files into every new account’s public_html and public_ftp directories when the account is created.

Account Termination

You can terminate an account, completely remove it from your server, using this feature.

Unsuspend Bandwidth Exceeders

This feature gives you the ability to unsuspends all of the accounts that exceeded their bandwidth at the same time, these accounts will be unsuspended again until the next bandwidth check.

Upgrade/Downgrade an Account

You can change an account’s package using this feature. You would want to change an account’s package if the account’s owner wishes to change hosting plans.

Web Template Editor

This feature provides and interface in which you can create placeholder web pages that will appear to visitor who attempt to access a site on your server that is suspended, has been moved, has yet to be configured, or is experiencing issues.
