About System Reboot

There are two methods of rebooting your server through the WHM interface, forceful reboot and graceful reboot. Depending on the events leading to the reboot is what determines the method of how the server should be rebooted. 

Forceful Reboot

The forceful reboot method shuts down the computer no matter what error occurs on the server. This method is typically done through a hard or physical reset but is not the preferable reboot method.

Graceful Reboot

The graceful reboot method is the preferred method to any other. This reboot method allows the server to close all user-level running processes before rebooting. This method is preferred because it will result in no data loss.
