About MX Entry

MX Entry routes incoming mail to a specific domain to a server of your choice. MX Entry can be used to create a backup mail exchanger to take care of mail when a server is down.

Add a MX Entry

Follow the steps below to add a MX Entry:

  1. Select the MX Entry icon in the Mail section of the cPanel interface
  2. Set the priority and destination in the Add New Record section
  3. Select Add New Record

Edit a MX Entry

Follow the steps below to edit a MX Entry:

  1. Select the MX Entry icon in the Mail section of the cPanel interface
  2. Select Edit next to the MX Entry you wish to edit
  3. Change the Priority and Destination as you wish
  4. Select Edit to finish Editing

Delete a MX Entry

Follow the below steps to delete a MX Entry:

  1. Select the MX Entry icon in the Mail section of the cPanel interface
  2. Select Delete next to the MX Entry you wish to delete
  3. Select Delete to confirm your deletion
