The Intel Atom CPU uses just 10 watts of power. The close mating of the components reduces cooling requirements and therefore the need for a power consuming heatsink fan. Meanwhile, the WD Caviar Green HDD reduces power consumption by up to 40 percent and yields lower operating temperatures for increased reliability and lower cooling costs. Finally, 80 PLUS high-efficiency power supplies mean the server components demand less power even at higher loads.
