Cloud computing, is one of the largest growing trends in the information technology sector. Is the connection of computers through the Internet in order to share data and files quickly and easily. And one that is extremely profitable and an integral part of information management in the new age.<\/em><\/p>\n

This service is so new to many individuals or companies. So there are many nuances to differences in cloud computing systems that people may overlook. One of these important distinctions is between a public cloud and a private cloud. Depending on the size and type of organization and type of information being shared across the cloud, it may be advantageous to pick one type over the other.<\/p>\n

Public Clouds<\/h2>\n

The type of system that people are most familiar with is a public cloud. These types are those that contain information and data for a variety of individuals. A number of different companies and their information can exist on the same platform as individual data, and vice-versa. Normally, public clouds are managed by larger organizations, who will charge for a particular amount of storage space. The most prominent and well-known public cloud is the Google Drive system. Although most individuals do not recognize that this is a public cloud system.<\/p>\n

There are both advantages and disadvantages to using a public cloud system. The best thing about it is that the system is managed by someone outside of the organization. Because of this, you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need to employ anyone to maintain the system or ensure that it is working properly. The fact that it is public and has little restrictions on who uses it also makes a public cloud a useful way to send information and data to individuals. This may not necessarily be in your company or organizations.<\/p>\n

However, the major drawback to this type of system is security and the potential for data breaches. Because a public cloud is accessible to everyone, it is much easier for a data thief to scrounge for data or break firewall and encryptions. Putting you and your company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s data at a higher risk. If you are sharing data that is extremely confidential, such as customer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s user and account information, you may want to consider the security limitations of whatever service you are using.<\/p>\n

Private Clouds<\/h2>\n

In contrast, a private cloud exists merely for one group or organization. In this scenario, a company has physical space invested in hardware which can hold this data. Only individuals within the organization can utilize the cloud to transfer data and files with each other.<\/p>\n

There are advantages and disadvantages to this model as well. Being able to manage your own data sharing system makes it much safer to share crucial data. This without worrying about security compromises or breaches. But this will undoubtedly increase your electric bills and may increase your payroll needs. As someone will need to manage and maintain the system.<\/p>\n

While many individuals do not consider the differences, there are actually distinctions between private and public cloud computing systems.<\/p>\n
